Still in Pain After Endometriosis Surgery? Here's What Your Doctor Didn’t Tell You

endometriosis endometriosis surgery Jun 24, 2025

You had the surgery. Maybe even twice. Maybe three times.

You followed every recommendation from your doc. Took all the meds and medically induced menopause. You were so ready to finally feel like yourself again.

But… here you are. Still bloated. Still exhausted. Still in pain. Wondering if your endo grew back already.. if you'd ever get relief.. and what the heck to do from here.

Here's what no one tells you..

Endo excision surgery removes the endo lesions (and scar tissues and adhesions), but it doesn’t address the internal terrain that allowed endo to thrive in the first place. The meds recommended can't stop or slow the growth of endo, even if it helps to manage symptoms.

And I’m not saying that surgery isn’t important...because it absolutely is. I recommend it to all of my endo clients or those who suspect they have it or are having issues conceiving. I'll also never tell you what you should or shouldn't take medication wise to help you improve your quality of life.

But we do need to understand that endometriosis is more than just rogue tissue growing where it shouldn’t.

It’s a whole-body condition. And because of that, it deserves whole-body healing.

why you’re still struggling after surgery (and why it can still grow back)

Surgery removes the diseased tissue, but it doesn’t address:

  • Chronic inflammation that stems from blood sugar imbalances, under eating, poor gut health, chronic stress or eating the standard american diet,

  • Gut dysbiosis OR bacterial infections like SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) that can worsen endo symptoms (hello, bloating + sluggish digestion)

  • Nutrient depletion from years of hormonal imbalances, years of hormonal birth control use, or having low stomach acid/ digestive enzymes, often from poor gut health, stress, nutrient deficiencies, etc (which is common for endo babes)

  • Poor detoxification from stagnant lymph/ poor blood flow/ lymph flow to + from the pelvic region. Poor liver health often coming down to the environment, years of taking the pill, a nutrient depleted diet OR poor gut health making it hard to absorb protein + other key nutrients needed to support natural detoxification
  • A taxed nervous system that’s been in fight-or-flight for way too long (from the pain, medical trauma, chronic under eating + normal life sh*t)

If none of that has been addressed… Then symptoms can sneak back in.

Healing with endo goes beyond the operating table

Inside my practice, I support women like you, the ones who’ve done all the “right” things for endo.. had multiple surgeries, cut out the foods, taken all the hormone suppressive meds... but you want to start a family.. you want to live your life and not feel like you're constantly patching up a bunch of symptoms just so you can kinda feel "okay".

Endo may not have a cure, but you can live a life with minimal flares, easy periods, better digestion + less fatigue.

Here’s what true, whole-body support with endo looks like:

✔️ Nutrition that supports your hormones + immune system
No random food rules or food elimination. Just real, nourishing meals that reduce inflammation and work with your body.

✔️ Habits and routine that meets you where you're at
We don't all have the same lives or 24 hrs in a day. We need a routine that supports our body, but also honors the season we are in

✔️ Nervous system support
Nourish the system that helps to create the environment needed for healing because you can't heal living in a depleted or activated state.

✔️ Gut healing + mineral balancing
We rebuild your gut health so you can actually digest + absorb your foods. We are helping to restore minerals that are CRUCIAL for reducing pain + inflammation. That help balance your hormones which in turn also help improve symptoms.

✔️ Functional labs to go deeper
You were told “everything looks normal” but you feel like garbage… something's being overlooked. Even with endo. There's usually more to the story.

What you're feeling is real.. and so is the frustration.

If you’ve been told your labs look "normal", but you’re still in pain, bloated, or tired beyond belief... You are exactly who I help.

You don’t need to jump straight into another surgery. You need someone who sees you, the whole picture, and knows how to connect the dots with endometriosis.
